yesterday. "On 5/3/2020 at approximately 4:00pm, a resident in Saratoga, California was digging trenches to install a sprinkler system in his backyard and found two grenades and a mortar shell. The resident immediately called 9-1-1 to report his findings
"An Alert SCC message was sent out to nearby residents advising to shelter-in-place for their safety. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad responded and safely detonated the grenades and mortar shell in a remote location at Congress Springs Park. Thankfully, no one was injured. Great work by everyone involved!"

Okay... WHY were they there? Was there military stuff out there?
K: They did a metal detector sweep and found nothing else. No info yet on why or who did it, but they look old.
