Dealing with the fronthoe
b1-66er: side note--
I actually received a TXT from Gumby today. First I've heard from him since the death of his mom...after repeated efforts on my part.)
b1-67er: What did he say?
66:
I'll call you back. I've never been busier these days. No one has gotten any calls back from me
My Xmas Eve Xlation:
Rejoice in being ignored like everyone else.
There's a part of me that feels deep/strong empathy for Gumby...
... And another piece that wants to see him crushed by a fertilizer truck.
67: He is in the position of having to deal with his mom's death and (I imagine) the disposition of his mom's house. And the prospect of a new baby. There's, legitimately, a lot going on.
66: Okay.
A Tonka fertilizer truck.
67: That's fair.

<November 9, 2025>: [....]Speaking of noxious chemicals, we were notified recently that a home on our street tested positive for PFAS in their water. We had a test last week, waiting for results.
<& now today>
Just got results from a well water test, which we ordered when we got a letter from the town that one of our neighbors had elevated PFAS in their water. Not only did we learn that we do too, we also learned that we have 4 times the safe level of...
...Wait for it...
....Uranium. Doesn't seem like a good thing.
I've been drinking at least two large mugs of coffee made with that water, every day, for over 20 years
The Accomplice: Yikes!
b1-66er: No wonder your coffee's so hot!
Where's the uranium coming from?
(I don't think it's naturally occurring there... Seriously - is there weapon manufacturing nearby?)
Kπ: No idea. I've never heard of it being a problem. All I know is that 0.03 mg/L is the highest "safe" level (though preferable to be under 0.015), and we tested 0.124

Smokey: Thought of you today... Got a text message from my dentist with a link to fill out medical forms with my history. Started filling them out when I realized, I just did this for this dentist recently. I wanted to reply ala, b1-66er, "Dear faceless robot..."
b1-66er: I feel... so proud•
S: It's a good line that faceless robot thing. I didn't understand it when you first sent it back in the year two thousand, but once you explained it to me, made perfect sense. Unfortunately, I think the founders thought you were calling them faceless robots, which they were, but didn't need the weekly reminder. (I jest, they actually had faces.)

b1-66er: Kash Patel Is Under Investigation for Using FBI Jet as Private Uber
This just seems SO WRONG.
I mean, come on, look at his baller OG name...
What do you expect?
b1-67er: He should have the Kash to pay for his own jet.
D4rw1n: He is a bit Patel-thetic
